A trip for eye surgery: how many days and how they go
The short answer: as a rule, one to two days are enough. Day one is full diagnostics and the intervention itself, if the results allow it; day two is a follow-up examination. You buy the tickets yourself, and the clinic takes care of everything on the ground: meeting you at the airport, the hotel, transfers and an interpreter. The exact schedule is in your plan before you fly.
How the days go
Day one: diagnostics
A full examination takes several hours. Based on its results, the doctor names the method and the type of lens — or says that an intervention is not indicated right now.
Day one: the intervention
Most methods are outpatient. After the procedure you are driven to the hotel rather than kept at the clinic.
Day two: check-up
The doctor examines the eye after the intervention and gives recommendations for the coming days.
After that — at home
People usually return to their normal routine within one to two days, following the doctor’s recommendations.

What to know in advance
You pay after diagnostics, not before
Payment is in cash or by card, at the clinic. You pay only after you have had full diagnostics, spoken to the doctor and received your treatment plan. There is no prepayment before you arrive.
Diagnostics can change the plan
If the examination shows that the method does not suit you, the doctor will say so directly. That outcome is possible too, and it is better to know about it before buying a ticket.
No driving after the intervention
It is best not to plan independent travel for that day — that is what the transfers are for.
A companion is normal practice
Tell us in advance, and accommodation and transfers will be planned for two.
Timing depends on the method
One to two days is the usual case. If extra preparation is needed, the doctor will give a different timeframe in the plan.
